For veterinarians
Your clients leave the exam room, then Google.
Give them somewhere good to land. KibbleLab's scoring is independent, grounded in published veterinary science, and it sends clients back to you with structured evidence instead of a screenshot from a forum.
Independent by design
No brand can buy a score.
No one can pay for a higher score, or to change what we recommend for your pet. Every food is scored the same way and shown to everyone, whether or not it earns us a commission. Scores, calorie targets, and portions come from published veterinary nutrition science, and we show the work so you can check it. That is the whole point: a tool you can trust enough to put in front of a client.
What the numbers are built on
- WSAVA global nutrition guidelines and selection criteria
- AAFCO nutrient profiles and adequacy statements
- NRC (2006) energy equations and the 2021 AAHA guidelines
- The 9-point body condition score (Laflamme, 1997)
- The Merck Veterinary Manual
- Live U.S. FDA recall records, cited to source
Every number links back to its source. Read the full methodology .
The case file
A case file, not a screenshot.
Your client does the between-visit legwork in KibbleLab and walks in with a clean, printable report. It gathers the evidence and hands the interpretation to you, so the conversation starts from a shared record instead of a half-remembered diet history.
What it contains
- Weight and body-condition history, with the trend line
- Every elimination trial and its outcome, plus the avoid list
- Confirmed and suspected triggers from the findings
- Health flags, medications, and owner notes

The practice kit
Everything you need to recommend it.
A one-page handout
A clean, exam-room handout with a QR code that sends clients straight to the right tool, whether that is a food trial or a weight plan.
A co-branded link
A practice link your clients recognize, so the tool you point them to feels like an extension of the visit, not a detour.
Never for sale
The promise you can stand behind: a partner can never pay to change which foods we recommend, or buy a higher score.
A tool that always defers to you.
KibbleLab gathers evidence and surfaces a hypothesis. It never diagnoses, never treats, and never overrides a veterinarian. Every trial ends with the same instruction to the owner: confirm it with your vet. It makes the appointment easier and leaves the medicine to you.
Disclaimers
KibbleLab is informational, and is not a substitute for veterinary care. It is built for pet owners to organize what they observe at home and bring it to their veterinarian.
KibbleLab is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by WSAVA or AAFCO. We reference these standards; we do not represent them.
